Belmont Hotel Mactan

Checked-in for the second time but this time for 3 nights. Let’s focus more on the amenities/facilities (beach, gym, & food) The shuttle service is now scheduled every hour as of the writing of this review. Savoy and Belmont has found an optimal solution to the distance of the beach. Always ask the front desk what time is the next shuttle pickup. There are two types of vehicle, a modern van (belmont) and a traditional jeep (savoy) which take turns on picking-up and dropping off guests. The beach has a sunrise view so for people who want to get the best tan lines, you guys should early in the morning. Meanwhile, photos from 1pm to 5pm are seen here with very good shaded parts and tide is high. Don’t expect super fine sand, the shorelines have big rocks but it’s manageable. Certain hour of the day the water is clear, small fishes are visible. Go swim in the middle parts where minimal rocks are not present but as soon as you take a dip you will appreciate the cold and hot current streaming across your body. Unique and relaxing feeling. The gym is optimal, if you know your way around dumbbells than you would be pleased with the heaviest weight at 50kg. Cardio area is facing the pool. Machines are manageable, good just to get a pump. The food served during 3 nights, is all about the same from my previous review. Filipino-American breakfast. It’s chill during weekdays but gets really busy on weekends. So if you’re staying on a weekday, you will still get to see full plates and bowls. On weekends, different story. So one hack is that you should go from 6am-8am to see the different choices. The mindset of most people will be opting to go 9am-10am so they would feel full until lunchtime. Guess what, of course what you will see at those times are empty plates and bowls. Hehe The food served at the beach is okay. Something to fill-up your stomach. The best sellers are preferential, it can be better. Set menus come with a drink.

We extended our hotel stay for another 3 nights, as we like the hotel location and enjoy the environment. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Mactan Newtown Beach is beautiful but quite a walk (10 mins) under the intense sun. It will be nice if BHM could consider to provide a regular buggy ride or shuttle van service to and from the beach 🏝️ for the hotel guests.

A fairly new hotel so the amenities are in top shape. The place is very clean and the service is highly efficient. The restaurant is beautiful and has sufficient choices for breakfast. The hotel is also right next to a shopping centre with lots of restaurants to choose from. Hotel guests have access to a private beach which is still in development stages and there’s a shuttle to and from the beach. They offer towels which can be accessed from the front seat. The pool is enjoyable and has round the clock guards. My family and I will definitely return to Belmont.

Great layover in Lapu-Lapu! Clean cozy and nice. Great cocktails and some local street food nearby.

This is a great budget friendly hotel! Clean rooms, functional fitness facilities, good pool and amazing food !

My go to hotel when in Mactan. Nice buffet bfast & spacious clean rooms. I like the professionalism. Private beach & near where there are many expats.

Save and clean location. A lot of shops and cafes around. About 20 minutes by taxi to aeroport. Comfy bed. But you can listen everything what your neighbors do... Pool is too small for such a big hotel. Sauna is for 3 persos. And it's not hot, just 55C. Breakfast is too expensive. Anyway it was a pleasant stay.

However far away from the Cebu city, but you’ll have to take a couple hour ride everywhere when travelling to Philippines no matter what hotel you stay) Swimming pool is nice Stores and cafes in a walking distance
